Dukundekawa
Simply means
Let's love coffee.
Formed in 2000, Dukunde Kawa Musasa “Let’s Love Coffee” is farmers owned cooperative of 1,193 members, working with over 4,500 farmers to grow high-altitude coffee at 1,800–2,200m, in Northern part of Rwanda, near the mountain gorilla habitat. We produce up to 15 containers of specialty green coffee annually for the international market, with majority of our producers being women. Certified Fair Trade (since 2005), Organic, and RFA, we champion sustainable farming and fair livelihoods. Half of our profits fund community projects, because when farmers prosper, we all grow.
Musasa Coffee.
Musasa speciality coffee is grown on the rich volcanic loam soil of the high hills of Rwanda at more than 2,000m above the sea level. The coffee is harvested and brought to our washing stations to be processed with great care by family farmers who have the passion of great coffee farming practices for as far as memory goes. The 100% arabica red bourbon coffee is available in Fully washed, Natural, Honey and currently roasted types.
How we produce our coffee
Producing quality coffee is a complex and unique process and it goes through several stages.
